Es profesor de Pol\u00edtica Econ\u00f3mica y Econom\u00eda Social y presidente de la Comisi\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica de CIRIEC-Espa\u00f1a. Obtuvo un Doctorado Europeo en Econom\u00eda en 1995. Fue Director del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n IUDESCOOP durante diez a\u00f1os hasta que asumi\u00f3 el cargo de Director del Programa de Doctorado Oficial en Econom\u00eda Social en la misma universidad. Fue presidente de la Comisi\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica de Econom\u00eda Social y Cooperativa de CIRIEC-internacional durante doce a\u00f1os. Es experto en estad\u00edsticas sobre econom\u00eda social, pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas as\u00ed como teor\u00edas sobre el tercer sector y la econom\u00eda social. Tiene una amplia experiencia en proyectos internacionales, nacionales y regionales sobre estad\u00edsticas de econom\u00eda social, financiados por Naciones Unidas (UNRISD) e instituciones europeas como el Comit\u00e9 Econ\u00f3mico y Social Europeo o la DGV de la Uni\u00f3n Europea, la red cient\u00edfica CIRIEC-International y el Ministerio de Ciencia espa\u00f1ol y el 7\u00ba Programa Marco de la UE.
